Aim & Scope
The International Conference on Innovative Design and Development towards Sustainability-2025 (ICIDDS-25) aims to provide an exemplary platform for academicians, researchers, designers, industry professionals, students, and enthusiasts to gather, share valuable insights, exchange innovative ideas and widen knowledge in various aspects of design. This conference will serve as a challenging platform for the enrichment of creativity and innovation in the design field. It also aims to disseminate the latest knowledge, trends, and advancements in design disciplines. The participants will get an opportunity to explore new techniques, tools, methodologies, and case studies from different experts in the field. ICIDDS-25 aims to provide the participants with a wide array of exposure to different design projects, concepts and ideas which can stimulate their creativity and can spark new design approaches. Workshops, seminars, interaction with like-minded individuals, presentations will enable the participants to enhance their design expertise. This will enable the industry professionals, educators, researchers, and students to build meaningful connection and explore potential collaborations. The program will invite prominent speakers, industry leaders, and renowned designers as keynote speakers along with paper and poster presentations in parallel sessions. Papers are invited on the following topics to be covered but not limited to in accordance with the theme of the conference:

About School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT

The School of Mechanical Engineering is amongst the top rated departments at KIIT University leading in students’ placements, achievements, research projects, collaborations, technology incubation and entrepreneurship. The school possesses highly qualified and experienced faculty members from various IITs, NITs and other reputed institutions. Faculty members are actively engaged in research and academic activities.
They often collaborate on research projects funded by bodies like AICTE, DST, DRDO, Institution of Engineers (IE), Govt. of India and publish their findings in highly reputed journals and conferences. The current consultancy and research & development areas of the school include jet and spray impingement heat transfer, droplet and spray combustion, computational fluid dynamics, mechanical systems design & optimization, biomass and biofuels (synthesis, analysis and optimization), vibration and machine condition monitoring, meta machining, metal matrix/polymer matrix composites (fabrication and characterization), metal forming.
The unique points are as follows:
- It is a community-based university, a university of compassion and humanity that is found in no other university in the country.
- It is the only university with unmatched infrastructure such as the upcoming 5500-capacity auditorium and convention centre, 400 staff quarters, and a 22 storied R&D building. The university already has 1 lakh sq. ft. R&D building on campus 3.
- The Central Library is yet another unique feature of the university with state-of-art infrastructure. It is the reference point for students of all departments and offers access to its rich repository 24×7. Besides, every school is equipped with huge libraries.
- The internationalization of higher education is one of the key parameters for ranking agencies. KIIT has done exceptionally well in various rankings. It is among the top 20 universities in the country and its law schools ranks among the top 10. The school of Biotechnology is the best in the country and KIIT-TBI is the super best in the country.
- The law school is the only one in the country among all government and private institutes that have a moot court and a huge library.
- This is the only university with the highest number of foreign students between 1400-1500 from 64 different countries. It will go up to 100 countries soon.
- The sprawling University campus is Wi-Fi enabled and is spread over 25 sq. km, a melting pot of nationalists, cultures and ethnicities. It is arguably one of the largest in India.
- Most of the engineering departments have adopted the novel concept of ‘tutor mentorship programme’, attaching 10-15 students with experienced faculty who help, guide and nurtures them through regular interactive sessions.
- Both the Central and the State Governments have forged alliances with KIIT for consultancy services. Experts from KIIT are not only providing periodic investigation to NHAI project sites but are also offering state urban sanitation strategies, and building and structural designs of heritage projects.
- KIIT has produced graduates who have excelled in UPSC and are occupying prominent positions in the Government. It has also produced talents who have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs and founders of well-known start-ups.
- The university also has a crèche centre and a public library.
- KIIT has a huge contribution to the field of art and literature and the field of sports. It has the best sporting infrastructure of international standards that cannot be matched by any university in the country.
- KIIT and KISS have produced Olympians as well. The University is proud of having seven students who are Olympians. In the ongoing Commonwealth Games, three students are from KIIT.
- The foremost uniqueness of the university lies in the fact that President Draupadi Murmu’s son is a product of KIIT. Her son-in-law was also a product of KISS and was a member of the Rugby team that won the junior Rugby World Cup in 2008 in England.
- So far 22 noble laureates have visited KIIT; some of whom have visited the campus 3 to 4 times.
